Guys only: How much “personal space” do you need around other guys? Any difference between strangers and friends/family?
Ladies’ version: How much personal space do you need around other women?
“Personal space”, of course, is as close as someone can get to you before you start feeling uncomfortable. For me, I’d say it’s about a foot for people I know but don’t necessarily like, a little farther for strangers, a little closer for friends. Am I average? Too comfortable? What about you? 
That sounds about right for me (ladies’ version.) For family/friends, touching is fine with me (like sitting on a couch at a party or something like that), but distance (1 foot or more) is great for anyone else.
